For sci-fi writers

An AI science fiction writer that keeps your future consistent

Science fiction asks readers to accept one impossible idea, then punishes every slip around it. NovelGPT is an AI science fiction writer that records your technology, your worlds and your invented words once, then holds every chapter to them.

How it works

  1. Pick a subgenre and a tone

Describe the book in a sentence or start from the Space opera Quick start. Hard Science Fiction, Cyberpunk, Solarpunk and Dystopian each steer the AI differently, and you can set the tone, length and story shape yourself.

  2. Write the rules down

Use Places & world for stations, planets, cities and the laws that govern them. Add entries for technology, politics, economy and history, and describe what the technology can and cannot do.

  3. Name your cast and your terms

Build your people with what they want, what they wrongly believe and what they need. Invented names are tracked, and renaming one updates the book in a single step.

  4. Plan a long book

Choose a story shape, plan the chapters and use the Book map to see acts, tension and who appears where. A book of more than twelve chapters is planned in parts, each reading the ones before.

  5. Draft and check

Draft with the AI or by hand and run the free checks. When a chapter breaks a rule you set earlier, the consistency check quotes both passages, so you can fix one or mark the change as deliberate.

World building that survives chapter thirty

A drive that needs a week to spool in chapter two cannot fire instantly in chapter thirty, unless the story says why. In NovelGPT each station, planet or city is an entry in Places & world, with the sights, sounds and smells that make it feel inhabited, and technology has its own category so the rules sit beside the setting. The places in a chapter go to the AI along with the rest of its context whenever it writes.

Story memory reads each chapter into facts: where a person is, whether they are alive, dead, missing or away, what they hold and what they know. A crew member who handed over the access key in chapter eleven does not still have it in chapter twelve.

Invented terms, names and research for hard science fiction

An AI science fiction writer meets your invented vocabulary cold, because it has never seen your words before you write them. Keep each term in the entry it belongs to, and let the free checks catch a name that drifts by a letter or two. If you rename a ship or a faction, the rename wizard shows every chapter, plan and note that mentions it and applies the change in one step with one Undo. A Glossary is one of the Book parts you can add for your readers.

Hard science fiction leans on real science. Keep a research note for each claim and mark it verified, likely, uncertain or unverified, with its source. Notes you link to a chapter travel with that chapter's context when the AI writes. The AI can be wrong about science, so check anything you plan to publish.

Long-form planning for a 90,000-word book

A typical science fiction novel runs to about 90,000 words. The Chapter plan gives every chapter a purpose and beats, and the Book map lays them all out with the acts, a tension line and who appears where. Drag a chapter to a new place and the numbers follow.

Time is rarely simple in science fiction. The Timeline keeps events in story time, with a lane for each person on wider screens, so a crew split across two ships stays readable, and connectors show where a flashback or a jump sits in the reading order. Choose Dual Timeline, Epistolary or Frame Narrative as the storytelling style when the structure itself is the idea.

Subgenres you can choose

Pick a genre and subgenre in your Story setup, and every suggestion follows their conventions. Change the length, point of view and tense any time.

Questions writers ask

Can an AI science fiction writer get hard science right?

It can get science wrong, so treat its drafts as suggestions to check. Choosing the Hard Science Fiction subgenre shapes what it proposes, and research notes let you record what you have verified. You are responsible for the facts in any book you publish.

How much does it cost to write a sci-fi novel with AI?

Every AI action shows its price in credits before it runs, so you decide each time. The Free plan includes 1,000 credits a month and the AI writes the first 3 chapters of each book; paid plans and credit packs remove those limits. Writing by hand costs nothing.

Can I choose a subgenre like cyberpunk or space opera?

Yes. Cyberpunk, Space Opera and Military Sci-Fi are among the subgenres, and the one you choose shapes every suggestion, along with the tone and the story shape you pick.

What does the AI know about my invented world?

Only what you give it, plus its general knowledge. Your places, people, notes and what story memory has read are fitted into each request, and anything you have not recorded, it cannot know. That is why writing the rules down once pays off.
